The Art Fusion Gallery in the Miami Design District has ten of Victoria Landis' original oil paintings on display and for sale. The three-month exhibition is called, 'Caliente' and goes until the 25th of September. The photos are from the gallery's Opening night on July 12th, 2008. Over a thousand people enjoyed the party where complimentary drinks and snacks were served. There was a special appearance of Brazilian dancers from 'Samba Fire'. The next two gallery nights are August 9th and September 13th. If you plan to be in the Miami area, plan a trip to the enormous gallery, this exhibition is fantastic. There truly is something for everyone there.

Fresh New Painter and Muralist Creates Online Gallery
BOCA RATON, FL, Sept. 19, 2007 – Victoria Landis, founder and principal of Landis Design Resource, a full-service commercial art studio in Boca Raton, Fla., has announced the launch of her Web site, www.LandisDesignResource.com, which showcases her artistic talent and allows art aficionados to purchase a variety of her original oil paintings and giclées online.
The Web site offers visitors an opportunity to view Landis’s contemporary original paintings and commissioned work. Landis, 50, is a self-taught painter whose services include architectural embellishments such as hand-painted furniture, moldings, columns, lamps and shades as well as faux marble and granite ceilings, walls, moldings and columns. Her services are available to the general public or through interior designers and galleries.
“The launch of my Web site is the culmination of a lifetime devoted to painting and drawing,” said Landis. “I’ve loved art since I was a child and always wanted to paint for a living, but I was told I couldn’t do that. Now I’ve decided to go for it.”
To celebrate her 50th birthday—and the entrepreneurial spirit of other middle-aged women across the nation—Landis will donate 10 percent of her giclée sales for the months of October and November to Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse Inc. (AVDA), a nonprofit organization that promotes violence-free relationships and social change by offering alternative choices to end violence and domestic abuse.
“We are thrilled that out of all the wonderful organizations that Vicki could have selected for her donation, she chose us,” said Jennifer Mahoney, an AVDA spokeswoman. “Her generosity will allow us to continue our efforts to stop violence.”
Landis chose AVDA because she is a survivor of domestic abuse herself.
A native of New Jersey and a single mom of three sons, Landis is a former interior designer and kitchen/bath designer. When she is not painting on-site or in her home studio, she serves as a volunteer at local schools and nonprofit organizations.
“I’m very proud of my work and thrilled with the new Web site,” Landis said. “This site will allow my artwork to reach even more people than before.”
